The AANPE has had formal network links to the Nurse Practitioner Forum (RCN) UK since 2003.

The ANPF states that:

Nurse practitioners are at the leading edge of health care and nursing innovation but often practice in isolation. The ANPF supports nurse practitioners and promotes high standards of care and education.  The forum is also lobbying for the reprsentation of nurse practitioner interests in local commissionig groups. The forum has excellent links with other bodies at national and international levels.
